David Obringer is the new EAHS President.  Mr. Obringer was instrumental in the founding of the Society in 1998.  He was and continues to be the Archivist for the Society as well.  Professor Obringer is an Associate Professor in the Library at Edinboro University and is the University Special Collections/Archivist.  

Summer programs of the 2013 year include a return to Edinboro by Michael Hall.  Mr. Hall will be returning as part of the Edinboro High School reunion and will present a special program as part of the Historical Society's June meeting.  Note the date is the fourth Wednesday in June, not the third.

The Maple Syrup Festival was held on March 16 & 17 at the Edinboro Fire Hall on S. Meadville St. in Edinboro.  The Fest continues to be a success with attendees from the region, as well as arts & crafts, music, as weell as local maple syrup makers featured in the meals.  Some photos from the event are located in our gallery.

 Memberships are $15 for individuals and $30 for family.  Membership Dues for 2013 can be paid for at the Annual banquet on January 30.  You can also pay via mail to Box 18, Edinboro PA 16412. Membership entitles you to a copy of The Fountain, as well as our newsletter.  Do we have your current address?  Please indicate if your address has changed, or drop us an email.

In addition to financial support, the Society is always in need of volunteers for physical labor or other contributions of ideas or efforts.
